Bob Walker and his wife, Kara, have lived in Oceanside for over 35 years, where they raised their two children to surf and enjoy the beach. Bob now has four generations enjoying Oceanside, and on any given day, you can find him south of the pier, pushing his grandson on the swings with the ocean horizon as his backdrop.

Bob is retired from a career in finance. He is one of the original three co-founders of Save Oceanside Sand (SOS) and is currently serving as the SOS Oceanside Director of Hospitality. Growing up on southern California beaches, Bob’s free time consisted of surfing and beach activities. Bob is passionate about the beach and doing everything he can to bring back sand and the same California beach lifestyle he had for his grandkids.
